In 2022, Umashankar Singh of the Bahujan Samaj Party won the seat by defeating Mahendra of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party with a margin of 6583 votes.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Atul Kumar Singh won from Ghosi Lok Sabha (MP) Seat with the margin of 122568 votes by defeating Harinarayan of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
