In 2022, Ram Singh Patel of the Samajwadi Party won the seat by defeating Rajendra Pratap Singh of the Bharatiya Janata Party with a margin of 22051 votes.
Patti Assembly constituency falls under the Khadoor Sahib Lok sabha constituency. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Indian National Congress candidate Jasbir Singh Gill (dimpa) won from Khadoor Sahib Lok Sabha (MP) Seat with the margin of 140573 votes by defeating Bibi Jagir Kaur of the Shiromani Akali Dal.
