Shahganj is an assembly constituency in Uttar Pradesh. In 2022, this constituency was won by the Nirbal Indian Shoshit Hamara Aam Dal.Shahganj comes under Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh State.
In 2022, Ramesh of the Nirbal Indian Shoshit Hamara Aam Dal won the seat by defeating Shailendra Yadav Lalai of the Samajwadi Party with a margin of 719 votes.
Shahganj Assembly constituency falls under the Jaunpur Lok sabha constituency. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Shyam Singh Yadav won from Jaunpur Lok Sabha (MP) Seat with the margin of 80936 votes by defeating Krishna Pratap Singh K.p. of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
