Shivraj Singh Chouhan is the former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. He held the portfolios of General Administration, Public Relations, Narmada Valley Development, and Aviation as a state cabinet minister in MP.

Before joining politics, he served the nation as a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) volunteer. He joined the RSS in 1972 at the age of 13. He has been a five-time Member of Parliament from Vidisha Lok Sabha Constituency.

He represents the Budhni constituency in the Sehore district. He also served ABVP in various positions. He was also been a convener of Akhil Bhartiya Keshariya Vahini in the initial days of his political career.

Shivraj is very popular for his women's welfare and empowerment schemes. Gaon ki Beti Yojana, Janani Suraksha Evam Janani Prasav Yojana, Swagatam Laxmi Yojana, Usha Kiran Yojana, Tejaswini, One Stop Crisis Center, Lado Abhiyaan, etc. are the major schemes of his tenure as CM.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan, born on March 5th, 1959, in Jait village, Sehore, is the son of Prem Singh Chouhan and Sundar Bai Chouhan. He married Sadhna Singh Chouhan, they are blessed with two sons.

In his childhood days, young Shivraj would spend a lot of time swimming and playing in the serene waters of river Narmada and create a special bond with it. His emotional attachment to the river shows in his efforts to preserve it and her ecosystem.

A man of simple tastes, he finds solace in music, spiritual literature, debates, sightseeing, and movies. Alongside his interests, he is an active social worker, organising religious and cultural activities, and seminars, and arranging marriages for underprivileged girls.

Kabaddi, cricket, and volleyball are among his favourite games, and he remains engaged with rural sports institutions, reflecting his commitment to holistic community development.
