Iranna Kadadi was born to Bhimappa Satteppa Kadadi and Dundavva Bhimappa Kadadi in Kalloli on 1st June 1966. He married Sumitra Iranna Kadadi in 1990 and was blessed with three children with her.
He was elected to the Rajya Sabha from Karnataka in 2020 as a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate.
As a member of various committees and boards, he contributes to shaping policies and initiatives in diverse sectors. Currently serving as a Member of the Central Silk Board, he also holds positions in significant bodies such as the Hindi Salahkar Samiti of Niti Aayog and the Committee on Papers Laid on the Table.
His involvement extends to areas like language promotion, minority welfare, and railway user consultation, including roles in the Ministry of External Affairs and the Food Corporation of India.
Additionally, he actively participates in committees focusing on rural development, labour, and Panchayati Raj, aiming to foster inclusive growth and effective governance.
As a committed activist, he is deeply involved in grassroots movements for social change. He took a stand against terrorism by actively participating in the 'Dhoda Movement' in India. Demonstrated courage by joining the Hubballi Channamara maidan flag hoisting movement, resulting in an arrest for a week. He is also dedicated to advocating for the rights of farmers in Karnataka, participating fervently in numerous protests to support their cause.
Dedicated to fostering awareness and appreciation for Indian culture and values among the youth, he actively engages in various social, economic, and welfare initiatives. Through his involvement in group discussions, particularly with leaders and fellow youth, he strives to facilitate meaningful dialogue and exchange of ideas.
Additionally, he is passionate about the art of storytelling, known as "upanyas," which he utilises as a tool to convey timeless wisdom and inspire others. His commitment lies in empowering the younger generation to embrace their heritage while actively contributing to the betterment of society.
He finds solace in reading, listening to music and travelling.
