Gyaneshwar Patil, born on January 27, 1969, to Natthu and Shantidevi Patil, wed Jayshree in 1990, and they have three children.

In 2021, he contested and won the Khandwa Lok Sabha by-poll for the Bharatiya Janata Party following Nandkumar Singh Chauhan's COVID-19-related demise, defeating Raj Narayan Singh Purni by 82,140 votes.

Presently, he serves on the Standing Committee on Energy, driven by his passion for agriculture, recognising farmers as India's backbone.
