Anumula Revanth Reddy is an active politician in Telangana state. He belongs to Telangana Rashtra Samiti. He is one of the core member of TRS and said to be close to K Chandrashekhar Rao. Revanth is from Mahboobnagar district. He had a keen interest in politics from his childhood. During his graduation, Revanth was student union leader. that time itself he joined Akhil Bhartiya Vidhyarthi Parishad. Just after completing his graduation from A.V.College, Osmania University, in 1992, he got married to daughter of Congress leader Jaipal Reddy's nice. And then he started his career in main stream politics with Telugu Desam Party. Later on after a rift with some party office bearers TDP asked him to left the party in 2017. He left TDP and after a couple of months he joined Indian National Congress. Currently he is serving as one of the three working presidents of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee. Because of his exemplary leadership skills and closeness to the people, many people fondly call him ‘The Lion of Telangana’. Also in 2018 Assembly Election is is contesting on Congress ticket.

Interesting Facts

Revanth Reddy came into limelight because of his affidavits in two different elections. In 2009 Andhra Pradesh Assembly Elections, he declared his assets as 3.6 crores with 73 lakhs liabilities. Just after 5 years during next Assembly Elections, he filed his candidature with an affidavit mentioned his assets as 13.12 crores with 3.3 crores liabilities. Means in just 5 years his assets increased by 4 folds.

In May 2015, Revanth as arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau during a sting operation. Later police took him on remand and then in just two months he was released on bail. The condition of bail is Revanth is not allowed to cross Hyderabad without ACB permission.

According to the bail condition he is not allowed to cross Hyderabad boundaries without ACB permission.
