Jaivardhan Singh

Jaivardhan Singh was born on 18 July 1975 in Madhya Pradesh and grew up in a politically active environment shaped by his father’s long public career. His early exposure to public life influenced his decision to pursue politics as a profession, alongside academic training in management.

He entered electoral politics in 2008, contesting the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly election from the Raghogarh constituency as a Congress candidate. He won the election, marking his formal entry into state-level legislative politics.

Jaivardhan Singh retained the Raghogarh seat in the 2013 Assembly elections, reinforcing his position as a key Congress leader in the Guna–Raghogarh region. During this period, he focused on constituency development and party organisation within the state.

In 2018, he was elected for a third consecutive term as MLA from Raghogarh. Following the formation of the Congress government in Madhya Pradesh, he was inducted into the state cabinet and assigned portfolios including the Public Works Department and Rural Development.

He was re-elected again in the 2023 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, continuing his long association with the Raghogarh constituency.

As of 2026, he remains an influential Congress MLA, actively involved in legislative debates and party affairs at the state level.
