He was the former CM of Karnataka and held the position from 2013. An Lawyer by profession, Professor Nanjunda Swami began his political career in the Samajwadi Yuvajana Sabha. He was working as a junior lawyer till 1978. He hold various position in Karnataka Assembly. He is an important political figure of the Indian National Congress.
