Neeraj Tripathi

Neeraj Tripathi, a High Court lawyer, steps into the political arena as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for the Allahabad seat in Prayagraj, known as Sangam City.

Hailing from a prominent political lineage, his father, Kesharinath Tripathi, held notable positions such as Speaker in the UP Assembly and Governor in West Bengal. Kesharinath Tripathi was a five-time MLA from the City Southern seat, a constituency falling within the same Allahabad region where Neeraj is vying for candidacy.

Despite being born into a politically influential family, Neeraj chose a different path and pursued a career in law. He served as the Additional Advocate General for the Uttar Pradesh Government. However, politics remained an integral part of his life, as evidenced by the frequent gatherings of leaders and workers at his father's residence, prior to Kesharinath Tripathi's passing in January of the previous year.

Neeraj's decision to transition into active politics marks a significant turning point.
