Veerabhadrayya Charantimath

Veerabhadrayya Charantimath was born on 3 July 1956 in Karnataka. He pursued his education within the state and later became involved in public life through social and political activities in the Bagalkot region.

He joined the Bharatiya Janata Party and built his political base through grassroots engagement and organisational roles. His early political career focused on local governance and strengthening party presence at the constituency level.

In 2004, he was elected as a Member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly from the Bagalkot Assembly constituency, marking his formal entry into legislative politics and establishing his presence in the region.

He was re-elected in 2008 and 2013, continuing to represent Bagalkot and actively participating in legislative proceedings and development initiatives. During these terms, his work largely centred on infrastructure development and public welfare in the constituency.

In 2018, he secured another victory from Bagalkot, extending his tenure. However, in 2023, he contested again from the same constituency but lost the election.

As of 2026, he continues to remain active in Karnataka politics and maintains his association with the Bharatiya Janata Party.
