Bhojraj Nag Biography

Bhojraj Nag was born to Lakshminath Nag at Himoda in the Kanker district on 7th April 1972. Bhojraj Nath Sadhna Nag on 4 June 1990 and has been blessed with two sons and a daughter with her.

He started politics from the post of Sarpanch and has also been elected as MLA from Antagarh Assembly in 2014. He has been waging a campaign against conversion in Bastar for a long time.

He has been nominated by the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) from the Kanker Lok Sabha constituency for the 2024 general elections. The BJP has cancelled the ticket of its sitting MP Mohan Mandavi from Kanker in Chhattisgarh and has made Nag its candidate.

He was elected as an MLA in the by-election held in the lower assembly in 2014. He was contesting from the BJP ticket, while Manturam Pawar was contesting from the Congress ticket. But Pawar withdrew his nomination at the last moment due to which Nag got a walkover. He received 36616 votes in that election.

His ticket was cancelled in the 2018 elections. He did not get the ticket even in 2023. Still, he continued working with the BJP.

He has worked continuously for the upliftment of tribal society and de-addiction. He was also a worker of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
