In 2022, Vipul Dubey of the Nirbal Indian Shoshit Hamara Aam Dal won the seat by defeating Ram Kishore Bind of the Samajwadi Party with a margin of 6231 votes.
Gyanpur Assembly constituency falls under the Bhadohi Lok sabha constituency. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Ramesh Chand won from Bhadohi Lok Sabha (MP) Seat with the margin of 43615 votes by defeating Rangnath Mishra of the Bahujan Samaj Party.
