In 2022, Rakesh Goswami of the Bharatiya Janata Party won the seat by defeating Manoj Tewari of the Samajwadi Party with a margin of 43447 votes.
Mahoba Assembly constituency falls under the Hamirpur Lok sabha constituency. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Kunwar Pushpendra Singh Chandel won from Hamirpur Lok Sabha (MP) Seat with the margin of 248652 votes by defeating Dilip Kumar Singh of the Bahujan Samaj Party.
