Yogi Adityanath is a right-wing populist Hindutva firebrand politician from Gorakhpur district. He is currently the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh. He was born as Ajay Mohan Bisht in Pauri Garhwal district (now in Uttarakhand). He did his graduation in science. He actively participated in many social activities and movements during his student life.

At 22, he conceded his family life and became a monk. Instead of worshiping god in one place, he opted to roam across the region and spread awareness. He started the Janjagran Abhiyaan in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. He had his meal with people from all castes and religions to show his anger against untouchability. He fought his first Lok Sabha election in 1998 and became a Member of Parliament.

Yogi Adityanath was installed as Uttar Pradesh's 21st Chief Minister in March 2017 after the Bharatiya Janata Party won the state assembly elections by a landslide. In the year 2022, he secured another term, thus being the first Chief Minister in the last several years to be re-elected in the state. The government headed by him is associated with the prioritization of the state's physical development, standardization of security, computerized governance, and implementation of various schemes for farmers and women.

Yogi Adityanath not only took over the political scene but also manages to run the religious and cultural departments under Gorakhnath Math.
