Asaduddin Owaisi, commonly known as Asad Bhai, serves as the President of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and represents the Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency as a Member of Parliament. He has earned the nickname Naqeeb-e-Millat and Qaid.
His father, Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi, a stalwart in Indian politics, held the Hyderabad seat for six consecutive terms from 1984 to 1999. Owaisi began his political journey by winning the Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat in the years 2004, 2009, 2014, and 2019. In the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, he is once again a candidate from the Hyderabad constituency, contesting against the BJP's Madhavi Latha. Before his parliamentary career, he also held the Charminar Assembly seat twice, in 1994 and 1999.
