Jammu And Kashmir Assembly Election Results 2024
The NC-led alliance secured a majority in the 90-seat Assembly with 49 seats. While the Congress, one of its allies, saw its seat count drop from 12 in 2014 to six in 2024, the NC experienced a notable increase, winning 42 seats compared to 15 in 2014.
In contrast, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) saw a significant decrease in its seats, falling from 28 in 2014 to just three in 2024.
Following a similar pattern to 2014, the BJP continued to win several seats in Jammu, with some victories seeing over 10% of the vote share. Out of the 42 seats won by the NC, 16 were secured with a margin of over 20%.
The vote shares of both the BJP and NC have risen by about two percentage points since 2014, while Congress’s vote share dropped by six percentage points, and the PDP’s by 14 points.
