Islampur is an assembly constituency in Bihar. In 2020, this constituency was won by the Rashtriya Janata Dal.Islampur comes under Nalanda district of Bihar State.
In 2020, Rakesh Kumar Roushan of the Rashtriya Janata Dal won the seat by defeating Chandra Sen Prasad of the Janata Dal (United) with a margin of 3698 votes.
Islampur Assembly constituency falls under the Nalanda Lok sabha constituency. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Janata Dal (United) candidate Kaushlendra Kumar won from Nalanda Lok Sabha (MP) Seat with the margin of 256137 votes by defeating Ashok Kumar Azad of the Hindustani Awam Morcha (secular).
