Thonoknyu is an assembly constituency in Nagaland. In 2023, this constituency was won by the National People's Party.
In 2023, Benei M Lamthiu of the National People's Party won the seat by defeating S. Heno Khiamniungan of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party with a margin of 2325 votes.
Thonoknyu Assembly constituency falls under the Nagaland Lok sabha constituency. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party candidate Tokheho Yepthomi won from Nagaland Lok Sabha (MP) Seat with the margin of 16344 votes by defeating K L Chishi of the Indian National Congress.
