In 2023, Dr.neisatuo Mero of the Independent won the seat by defeating Neiba Kronu of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party with a margin of 104 votes.
Pfutsero Assembly constituency falls under the Nagaland Lok sabha constituency.
