Uthiramerur is an assembly constituency in Tamil Nadu. In 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, the total percentage of voters in Uthiramerur Assembly Constituency was recorded at 80.09 percent.Uthiramerur comes under Kancheepuram district of Tamil Nadu State. Sundar (DMK), Somasundaram (AIADMK), Soosaiyappar (AISMK), Kamatchi (NTK), R.V.Ranjithkumar (AMMK) are key candidates contested from Uthiramerur constituency in the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections along with many other independent candidates. In 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, the total percentage of voters in Uthiramerur Assembly Constituency was recorded at 80.09 percent.
In 2021, Sundar of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam won the seat by defeating Somasundaram of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam with a margin of 1622 votes.
Uthiramerur Assembly constituency falls under the Kancheepuram Lok sabha constituency. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate Selvam.g won from Kancheepuram Lok Sabha (MP) Seat with the margin of 286632 votes by defeating Maragatham K of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam.
