With plenty of political rumblings, the Uttarakhand assembly elections 2022 will be an interesting battle to watch. The term of the current assembly elected in 2017 will expire on March 23 2022.
In an assembly with 70 seats, the magic number is 36 and the two main players in the state are the BJP and Congress. After the BJP won the elections in 2017 with 57 seats, an internal turmoil forced the BJP to replace the incumbent Trivendra Singh Rawat and bring in a new face, Tirath Singh Rawat as the Chief Minister and finally Rawat was also succeeded by the third CM in the tenure Mr. Pushkar Singh Dhami
