Puthiya Needhi Katchi (PNK) Flag

Election Commission of India records show no reserved Puthiya Needhi Katchi election symbol. On September 14, 2022, the party was delisted from the RUPPs register for non-compliance. Delisting removed eligibility for benefits under the Symbols Order, including common symbols during elections. PNK currently remains without a reserved emblem.

Regarding the Puthiya Needhi Katchi flag, a 2009 party meeting announced new colours: black, orange, yellow, and red. These colours were for party use and publicity. They are not a reserved election symbol with the Election Commission of India. Party branding and ballot symbols are governed separately by the Symbols Order.

PNK: Alliance Symbols and Seat-Sharing

During alliances, candidates from PNK have contested using ally symbols. In 2014, founder A. C. Shanmugam contested Vellore on the BJPs lotus. In 2019, AIADMK allotted Vellore to PNK under seat-sharing, and he contested on the two leaves. Election officials accepted the nomination and symbol allocation.

After delisting, no PNK logo or symbol is recognised by the Election Commission of India. Any Puthiya Needhi Katchi flag or colour scheme functions only as party political identity, not a ballot symbol. The party abbreviation PNK may appear on materials, but ballot recognition requires compliance with the Symbols Order.
