Indian Elections 2026
The 2026 elections in India will include Rajya Sabha elections, legislative assembly elections in four states: Assam, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and the Union Territory of Puducherry. Several assembly by-elections are also expected in states such as Goa, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura and Uttar Pradesh following vacancies caused by the death or resignation of sitting MLAs.

These elections will decide state governments, fill vacant seats and determine control of several urban local bodies across the country.
