Since 1974, Sikkim has seen 6 Chief Ministers, the first being Kazi Lhendup Dorjee who took oath in May 1975 from INC Party, and the current serving Chief Minister,Prem Singh Tamang of the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha Party, who took oath on June 10, 2024, for a second term.Pawan Kumar Chamling of the Sikkim Democratic Front has been the longest serving Chief Minister of Sikkim served from 1994 to 2019.
