Chhunga was the first Chief Minister of Mizoram.Lal Thanhawla of the Indian National Congress holds the record of longest serving tenure of 21 years in his 5 terms. Lalduhoma of the Zoram People's Movement is the current Chief Minister, took oath on December 8, 2023.
