List of Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh (AP) & Their Tenure Periods

Since 1956, India has seen 18 Chief Ministers in Andhra Pradesh starting from Neelam Sanjiva Reddy since 1956 to currently serving CM Chandrababu Naidu, in which most of them belonged to Indian National Congress party and there has been three instances of President's rule in Andhra Pradesh, most recently in 2014. The CM,Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy later became the President of India, followed by P. V. Narasimha Rao of the same party, who later became the Prime minister of India. The longest-serving Chief minister, also the first CM post the bifurcation of state in 2014, was N. Chandrababu Naidu is from Telugu Desam Party.Kasu Brahmananda Reddy has the second-longest tenure followed by the Telugu Desam Party's founder N. T.Rama Rao, the second actor in India who turned out to be the Chief Minister who served the state for the third longest term,where as, N. Bhaskara Rao, has the shortest tenure for only 31 days.
