Assam Governor List
Assam has had 10 Governors of British origin The first Governor of Assam was Sir Robert Neil Reid. He was appointed Governor of Assam on March 4 1937. Sir Akbar Hydari became the first Governor of Indian and was also the last British appointed Governor of Assam. Since 1937, Assam has had 39 Governors.
