Ponmudi K

K.​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ Ponmudi is the one who came to earth on 19 August 1950 in Villupuram, Tamil Nadu, and is, without doubt, a very experienced leader of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and a real power behind the throne in the state's political arena. A professor and academician, he was, before he took the plunge into politics, and throughout this time, he kept on achieving one after another in his multiple-degree courses, such as arts, law, and political science. Indeed, his professional expertise undoubtedly laid the foundation of education that later turned out to be his political vision and the core of his policymaking.

Ponmudi has been a party man of the D.M.K. since the beginning of his political career, and he has been elected the representative of the Tirukkovilur constituency in the Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu many times. By now, he has handled ministerial portfolios like the Minister for Higher Education, Transport, and Information Technology. Among his achievements, to which the public breathes and applauds, are the ones he made in the open-door movement to higher education and in the modernization of educational infrastructures in due time.

As of the year 2025, K. Ponmudi is still doing an important job with the DMK administration, which Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is heading. Moreover, he is still very much intra-party and public opinion leadership due to his unwavering leadership, development orientation, and continuity of Dravidian ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌loyalty.
