T.M. Anbarasan

T. M. Anbarasan, who started his political career through the DMK party in Chennai, has spent his life organizing party activities and establishing connections with local people. He became a significant figure in Tamil Nadu urban politics through his work in Alandur and nearby regions.

The Alandur constituency elected him to the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly for the first time in 2006. He built his reputation as an effective administrator, which helped him to achieve party success. He won his seat again in future elections, which established him as a dependable urban representative.

Anbarasan entered the state cabinet during the 2011 DMK government and received the Municipal Administration and Water Supply ministerial position. He worked on urban development projects, which included building infrastructure and providing civic services, establishing drinking water systems, and managing local government operations.

The DMK party won the 2021 elections, which led to his return to the Assembly, where he became Minister for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). He promotes industrial growth in Tamil Nadu while supporting entrepreneurs and developing small-scale enterprises through his work.

T. M. Anbarasan holds the positions of Cabinet Minister and MLA until 2026, while he uses his legislative background to carry out executive duties in the DMK government.
