A. Anwhar Raajhaa is a major politician from Tamil Nadu, India, whose name has been closely associated with regional politics for many years. He started his political career from the bottom level, as the Chairman of the Mandapam Panchayat Union from 1986 to 1991. His major focus during these years was on local development, implementing welfare schemes, and solving problems of communalities of the constituencies.
Raajhaa later achieved such a high rank in local politics that he was a Minister of Labour and Employment in Tamil Nadu from 2001 to 2006. He did, among many other things, execute a variety of schemes oriented toward the welfare of labor and the social security of workers. The department he administered was also concerned with the creation of new job opportunities, and there was a flow of policy that helped industrial relations in the state.
In 2014, he secured his victory at Ramanathapuram constituency in the 16th Lok Sabha election as an AIADMK candidate. He was able to do a lot for the minorities, the economy of his constituency, and worked hard for the success of the district through the development of the communication network. For his dedication to public service, he earned a good reputation.
In 2025, after protesting the factional tie-up of AIADMK with the BJP, Raajhaa was shown the door. After that, at the DMK camp, he shook hands with the Chief Minister, M. K. Stalin, and credited his decision to Hindi imposition and the diminishing of the state's autonomy. In the course of his long journey, Raajhaa never ceased to be the spokesman of the concerns of the region, the rights of the minorities, and the social welfare.
