Suresh Kumar Pujari Biography

Suresh Kumar Pujari was born to Bhimsen Pujari and Khirodri Tanaya Pujari in Sambalpur, Odisha, on 29 July 1960.

During his college years, he served as the president of the college union. In 1980-81, he spearheaded a state-wide students’ agitation and also led the peasants’ movement and trade union movements.

He contested and won the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Bargarh in Odisha.

Pujari is deeply involved in various activities, including reading, writing articles, analysing political problems and events, and attending debates in different forums and media. He frequently participates in seminars, particularly on legal matters, and takes part in social and political movements. He spends time with children, especially those in difficult circumstances, and is the founder and member of "Yuba Udayan" and "Utsarga," along with many other social and cultural associations in Sambalpur and other areas of Odisha. He is also associated with the Trade Union of OSRTC, Odisha, and the Odisha Rajya Kaushak Sangathan in Western Odisha.

In his leisure time, Pujari enjoys listening to music, spending time with friends, particularly old friends, and travelling to areas of historical and spiritual importance. He values meeting elderly persons to seek their advice and blessings and watching sporting events on TV, such as football, cricket, tennis, and chess. He is associated with numerous sports and social-cultural organisations, promoting their events, particularly in fancy sporting events.

On a personal note, he married Padmini Nayak and was blessed with two sons. His net worth stands at Rs 2,97,07,909.
