N. Kayalvizhi Selvaraj is a DMK leader from Tamil Nadu with a background in commerce and education. She completed her Master of Commerce (M.Com) in 1993 and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in 1994 from the University of Madras and has been active in politics since the mid-1990s through the DMK women’s wing.
She contested her first state assembly election in 2021 from the Dharapuram (SC) constituency in Tiruppur district and won, defeating her main opponent in a key victory for the DMK in that region.
Following her election, Kayalvizhi was appointed to the Tamil Nadu Cabinet on 7 May 2021 as Minister for Human Resources Management, where she has overseen recruitment initiatives and public sector human resources policies to fill vacancies across state departments.
During her ministerial tenure, she has also overseen the distribution of welfare schemes and engaged in the implementation of employment programs designed to benefit various communities, emphasising accessibility and transparency in recruitment processes.
As of 2026, Kayalvizhi continues to serve as MLA and Human Resources Management Minister in Tamil Nadu, actively involved in legislative work and public sector personnel policies.
