He then earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Marwari College, Bhagalpur, affiliated with Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University, in 2010. Furthering his academic pursuits, he completed a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Rural Economics from Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University in 2012.

Jayant Raj made a significant entry into active politics by contesting and winning the Amarpur constituency in the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections.
