Biography
Kavita Singh plunged into politics during the by-poll assembly elections in 2011 from Daraundha constituency. She subsequently won the seat which was previously occupied by her mother-in-law Jagmato Devi. She was re-elected in 2015 from the same constituency as a JDU candidate, where she defeated BJP candidate Jitendra Swami. In 2019, she was elected to 17th Lok Sabha from Siwan where she beat out RJD candidate Hena Shahab with a 49 percent vote-share.
She won her first assembly elections from Daraundha constituency, the seat previously occupied by her mother-in-law Jagmato Devi.
