Komal Singh came into the world in a typical political family of Bihar. Her father, Dinesh Prasad Singh, is a member of the Bihar Legislative Council, while her mother, Veena Devi, is a Member of Parliament. The environment she grew up in made her politically aware and socially responsible from a very young age.
She has an MBA degree and applies her knowledge with deep insight into politics to make her governance more modern and efficient. Komal’s involvement in politics is only to be seen as the next step in her journey to serve people and take her party to the next level. Her campaign is focused on the themes of development, education, and empowerment of women and youth.
Being one of the fresh faces of the youth leadership in Bihar politics, Komal Singh has been able to manage the trade-off between the legacy and the innovation. With the increased engagement of the public and her focus on the developmental issues, she is still prominent voice in the Janata Dal (United) and has, in fact, become a dynamic and promising one.
In November 2025, Komal Singh won the Gaighat seat with 108,104 votes, beating RJD’s Niranjan Roy by 23,417 votes. She is the daughter of Lok Sabha MP Veena Devi and MLC Dinesh Prasad Singh.
