He has been representing Janata Dal (United) in the Rajya Sabha from Bihar since 2020. Currently, he is a member of the Committee on Papers Laid on the Table, the Consultative Committee for the Ministry of External Affairs, and the Committee on Water Resources.
He is a passionate advocate for Swadeshi principles, indigenous products, and cottage industries, with a fervent dedication to promoting pure khadi and preserving native seed rights.
He is committed to championing the rights of the working class, human rights, democratic socialism, and social justice.
He actively engages in campaigns against the patenting of life forms and multinational corporations producing consumer goods. Additionally, prolific in writing articles that shed light on these crucial issues.
