Mrs. Maya singh born in 1950 aug 15 on the eve of Independence Day. Belonging to Gwalior royal family ,she is famous political personality of BJP and Madhya Pradesh. She got her master degree in Political science from Jiwaji University, Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh). Her political career started when she joined BJP in 1980. Serving different position in BJP, She rose to the rank of All india president BJP Mahila Morcha. In 1984 She became Councillor and Deputy Mayor, Gwalior Municipal Corporation, Madhya Pradesh.
She was elected to Rajyasabha in 2002 and became memmber of Many committes. She also became Whip of B.J.P. Parliamentary Party in Rajya Sabha in 2003. She was re-elected to the Rajya Sabha again in 2008 and served second term. In 2013 She contested in Madhya Pradesh assembly elections and won from gwalior constituency. And She became cabinet minister in Government of Madhya Pradesh helding the portfolio of Women and Child Development.
