D. Pandian Biography

D. Pandian was a politician and a former Member of Parliament elected from Tamil Nadu. He was a senior member and Former Tamil Nadu State Secretary of the Communist Party of India. He was elected to the Lok Sabha from North Chennai constituency in 1989 and 1991 elections. He started his political career in CPMI. In 1989 He left the CPI to join the United Communist Party of India (UCPI) and become Lok Sabha MP. He returned to CPI and became its State secretary. D. Pandian was a lecturer in English in Alagappa College in Karaikudi before becoming a full-time politician.
