She is the candidate from Baniyapur Assembly constituency for the 2025 Bihar elections. Chandni, a widow of the late Ashok Singh, a former legislator, wants to take her husband's political legacy further and, at the same time, focus on social welfare and development of the constituency.

She contested the Bihar Assembly Election in November 2025 from the Baniapur constituency as an RJD candidate but did not win.
