Abhishek​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ Banerjee is a politician from India and represents West Bengal as a Member of Parliament from the Diamond Harbour constituency. As a stalwart of the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC), he is the party's General Secretary.

Banerjee, who is popularly known for his role in the organization, is instrumental in the formulation of his party's plans, both at the state and federal ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌levels.

Abhishek​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ Banerjee was born in Kolkata, West Bengal, on 7 November 1987, and he is the son of a politically influential family.

He went to Nava Nalanda High School and M.P. Birla Foundation Higher Secondary School in Kolkata, and then completed his BBA & MBA (Human Resources & Marketing) from the Indian Institute of Planning & Management, New Delhi, which is now closed. On 24 February 2012, Banerjee tied the knot with Rujira Banerjee; they are blessed with children.

In 2011, Banerjee took the plunge and joined politics actively, and later that year, he became the President of AITC’s youth wing. Abhishek Banerjee was elected MP from Diamond Harbour in the 2014 Lok Sabha election, and he was again successful in the 2019 elections. In these years, he has made a gradual but steady climb in his party, thus increasing his roles and authority, and making him the main person for the party’s organisational strategy and election management.

He has been subject to accusations throughout his political journey: as a result, the authorities have launched investigations into him and his team about the alleged matter of a fraudulent scheme for jobs and some other ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌issues.
