Vijay Baghel Biography

Vijay Baghel won the 17th Lok Sabha as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from the Durg constituency in 2019. He has been nominated by the BJP to contest the election from the same constituency in the 2024 general elections.

He was also elected as MLA from Patan constituency, Chhattisgarh in 2008. Apart from politics, he has been a President of the Chhattisgarh Manawa Kurmi Kshatriya Yuva Samaj and President of the Chhattisgarh Sarva Kurmi Kshatriya Yuva Samaj. Furthermore, he has been a President of the Weight Lifting Association and Roll Ball Association in the Chhattisgarh State.

Additionally, he has been made a General Secretary of the Chhattisgarh Pradesh Sarva Kurmi Kshatriya Yuva Samaj.

His special interest lies in acting, singing and playing kabaddi. He was a National Kabaddi Player, winning both Gold and Silver Medals.

Vijay Baghel was born to Nammoo Lal Baghel and Satya Bhama Baghel at Urla in Durg on 15th August 1959. He married Rajani Baghel in 1985 and was blessed with two children.
