Biography
Dilip Patel is an active politician and a member of parliament in 16th Lok Sabha from Anand (Lok Sabha constituency) of Gujarat. He successfully contested the Indian general election in 2014 as a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate. From an early age, he was actively working for the development of the society. He is also popular for his social work. He started his political stint in 1995 after becoming the Member of Gujarat Legislative Assembly.
He was the Ex-Chairperson of Charotar Education Society, Anand. He became the Trustee of Sardar Patel Memorial Trust, Karamsad. He was also the Member of Karasad Kelvani Mandal, Karamsad and Karamsad Union, Karamsad. He was appointed as Chairman/Director of Cooperative Bank. He became the Director of JMMS Pvt. Ltd. He is also the Director (Technical), of Jalaram Textiles. He became the Trustee of Sardar Patel Trust, Ambaji Math Mandir, Veer Vithalbhai Trust. He has a special interest in social work and animal husbandry.

He was elected to 16th Lok Sabha from Anand constituency. He defeated Solanki Bharatbhai Madhavsinh. Also he resigned from Gujarat Assembly.
2012
BJP candidate Dilipbhai Manibhai Patel back to the main stream and won the Assembly election. He defeated Kantibhai Sodhaparmar (Bhagat) of Congress.
2007
Dilip Manibhai did not contest the assembly election. This year Jyotsnaben Rajubhai Patel won from Anand.

Dilip Manibhai Patel was elected to Gujarat Legislative Assembly. He defeated an independent candidate Sathichimanbhai Manibhai. He became Dy. Minister, Narmada Development and Water Resources, Govt. of Gujarat for two years (1995-1997).
