Babulal Marandi Biography

Senior politician Babulal Marandi has been the current Chief of BJP in Jharkhand since July 4, 2023. He also serves as a Member of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly from the Dhanwar seat since 2019. Marandi is also the Leader of the Opposition Jharkhand Legislative Assembly.


He dedicated his life to transforming rural Jharkhand. He strives for infrastructural advancements, advocating for the political and cultural upliftment of scheduled tribes, fostering social harmony, and promoting the Santhali language and folk artists.


His interests include classical and folk music, exploring forest reserves, wildlife observation, and organising sports competitions for archery, football, and rural sports in Jharkhand's rural landscapes.
