Rajendra Agarwal Biography

Rajendra Agrawal represents the Meerut constituency of Uttar Pradesh and is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Agrawal holds master's degree (M.Sc) in Physics and currently involved with business by profession. Agrawal joined Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in school days as an active worker. He has also worked as a Pracharak 1971 to 1984.
Personal side, Rajendra Agrawal was born on 2nd October, 1951 to Om Prakash and Satyavati in Pilkhuwa, Distt. Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh). He is married to Uma Agrawal and has a son and a daughter.

He was Imprisoned for about 21 months under D.I.R and M.I.S.A during emergency from July 1975 to April 1977. He also faced short-term imprisonment several times in Ayodhya and other movements. He was the President of B.J.P Meerut Mahanagar in 1997-2000. He was incharge of the B.J.P Intellectual and Training Cell, Western U.P in 2000-02. He was the secretary of B.J.P Western U.P in 2002-07 and the President of B.J.P Intellectual Cell, U.P from 2007 - 2009
