Umesh Katti Biography

Umesh Vishwanath Katti is associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party, who presently serves as the Minister of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs and Forest of Karnataka since 4 August 2021. Previously, he got elected as an MLA from Hukkeri assembly constituency during 2013 elections.

Umesh entered politics post demise of his father and politician Vishwanath Katti in 1985, who served as an Member of the Legislative Assembly. The politician was born on 14th March 1961 to Vishwanath Katti in Khadaklat, Karnataka and completed his education from K.L.E. Society’s Raja Lakhamagouda Science Institute.

Umesh Katti breathed his last on 6 September 2022 in Bangalore due to a massive heart attack.
