Pabitra Margherita has embraced the realm of television as a versatile figure, serving as a writer, producer, and anchor for compelling shows.

With a rich background spanning various forms of media, he has ventured into producing over 20 captivating short films and documentaries, along with crafting over 100 folk and contemporary songs that resonate with diverse audiences. His journey doesn't stop there; he has also graced the silver screen as an actor, starring in notable feature films like 'Mon Jai.'

He tried his luck in politics and was elected to the Rajya Sabha from Assam in 2022 on the Bharatiya Janata Party ticket. Currently, he is a Member of the Court of the Assam University. Additionally, serving as a Member of the House Committee. Furthermore, he is a Member of the Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Lastly, he is a Member of the Committee on Petroleum and Natural Gas.

Apart from handling ministries, he is the Political Secretary (Honourary) to the Chief Minister of Assam. He is also the former Member Secretary of the State Level Advisory Committee (SLAC) for Students and Youth Welfare under the Government of Assam.

He was born to Santi Gogoi and Probha Gogoi in Margherita on 13th October 1974. He married Dr. Gayatri Mahanta in 2007 and was blessed with three children with her. He finds solace in writing and travelling. His net worth is Rs 1,30,08,631 and his liabilities stand at Rs 24,97,927.
