C T Ravi is an Indian politician of the Bharatiya Janta Party who hails from Chikamagalur district of Karnataka.

C T Ravi Biography

Chikkamagaravalli Thimme Gowda Ravi fondly known as CT Ravi. He is a disciple of RSS and a four-time legislator from Chiikamagaluru assembly seat of Karnataka and more often he is known for his candid statements advocating Hindutwa. Currently he serves as the National General Secretary of the BJP. For the unversed, Ravi had lost his first election to Congress candidate C S Sageer in 1999 but he bounced back in the next election and he defeated Sageer by a margin of 25000 votes. Since then he never looked back and rose up to the rank in BJP.

In the second BJP government in the state led by B S Yedyurappa, C T Ravi was appointed the Minister of Tourism while in party he was heading the Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha, the youth wing of the BJP. Following to his elevation as the National General Secretary, C T Ravi resigned from the ministry. In the 2023 assembly election, he got defeated by INC candidate H. D Thammaiah from the constituency of Chikmagalur.
