Sujeet Kumar

Sujeet Kumar was born to Satya Narayan Seth and Kusum Devi in Bhawanipatna on 17th November 1975. He married Swati Kumar in 2006 and the couple is blessed with one son.

He is an Indian politician from the Biju Janata Dal party. He has been a Member of Parliament since 2020, representing Odisha in the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of Parliament.

Besides being a politician, he is also a lawyer who works in the Supreme Court of India and other important legal bodies. Currently, he is the head of a group called the Committee on Petitions in the Rajya Sabha.

Before all this, he worked in high-ranking positions for the government of Odisha, helping to plan and develop policies.

As Chairperson of the Kalahandi Dialogue, he spearheads initiatives fostering dialogue and progress in community development. Additionally, as the Founder and Mentor of the Kalinga Kusum Foundation, he is dedicated to empowering individuals through education and mentorship.

With a commitment to social impact, he serves on the advisory boards of several non-profit organizations, amplifying their missions. Moreover, his passion for education extends to academia, where he contributes as adjunct faculty across various esteemed universities, shaping future leaders and innovators.

Apart from social work, he likes reading, hiking, cycling, doing yoga and meditation. He is even interested in tribal art & culture and Indian History.
