Niranjan Bishi

Niranjan Bishi was born to Debarchan Bishi and Kalabati Bishi in Kuturla on 12th October 1968.

He was elected to the Rajya Sabha from Odisha in 2022 as a member of Biju Janata Dal.

As a dedicated parliamentarian, he serves on several crucial committees. He is honoured to be a member of the Committee on the Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. Additionally, he is a member of the Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. Furthermore, he is a member of the Committee on Science and Technology, Environment, Forests, and Climate Change.

Currently, he holds the esteemed position of General Secretary at the Odisha Adivasi Kalyan Mahasangha. Additionally, he serves as the General Secretary of the Zilla Adivasi Kalyan Sangha in Bolangir. He is also a Secretary General of the Paschim Odisha Adivasi Kalyan Mahasangha.

Furthermore, he holds the position of President in two important associations: the Paschim Odisha Kendupatra Karmachari Sangha and the WESCO Utility SC/STs Employees Welfare Association. In addition to this, he works as a President of both the Paschimanchal Bijuli Karmachari Sangha and the Paschimanchal Milit Sramik Karmachari Mancha.

He also serves as a State Vice President of the All India Federation of SC/ST Employees Welfare Association. Lastly, he also serves as a Chief Advisor to the State Primary Teachers Union in Odisha.
